Followers of Jesus

Our year 6 pupils have been finding out how to follow Jesus. They wrote a letter pretending to be St Paul to convince people to become Christian.

What do you think of Miya’s and Leah’s work?

Dear School Pupils of St Mary’s,

Do you want to learn how to be a Disciple? Would you like to make new beliefs? Would you like to be sure you’re going to heaven? If so, just do all these things.

If you want to be like the Disciples, you must heal the hurt. You obviously want to perform miracles like Jesus, but, you can learn about doctors and become one then you will definitely be healing, but if that’s too much, just pick someone up when they fall.

Surprisingly, you could write a letter (hand written) people will appreciate your hard work and normally take the time to read it. Writing a letter persuades people to become followers (put in the best miracles).

Interestingly if you’re brave, you can tell people from other places about the Holy family. Everywhere you go you should spread the good news like the Disciples.

Shockingly, hundreds of people are hungry and poor so can’t afford food, so you could give them leftovers, give them money or better yet, cook them a warm and healthy meal.

Lonely, poor people are almost everywhere so you could give them shelter or a blanket. Let them know that they aren’t alone. Let them know that God and Jesus are beside them.

Conclusion;

There are a few things you could do to be a follower of Jesus, but you will need a lot of courage so just believe and you will be fine. Good luck.

Yours sincerely,

Miya

Dear Children,

Would you like to learn how to become a Disciple? Then say no more, this letter is for you, keep reading and you’ll find out on what being a Disciple is all about.

I understand that it may be hard to tell people the good news in person, the Disciples wrote letters! Not on your iphone/ipad/phone because the Disciples did not have them so do it old style by writing on a piece of paper and send it to someone.

If you feel that you stay inside most days then go to your nearest church, they are on Friday’s, but mostly Sunday’s. It’s nice because you can talk to God.

If you want to be nice, when you see people hurt, help them, comfort them and help them by getting a wet paper towel and put it on the place where they are hurt.

If someone (e.g mum and dad) you could be nice and get them some food. I’m not saying cook sausages over a stove etc, I’m talking about making them a sandwich or something like that.

If maybe your niece is ill, you could look after her, maybe give her medicine, tuck her in bed, read her a book etc. It’s really nice to look after people.

Thank you for reading and if you want to be extra good, you could always behave yourself.

Yours Truly,

Leah Stiff
