Say No to Bullying!

Today, as a school, we have been learning about what bullying behaviour is and how we can stop it. Our aim, as a school, is to have zero tolerance on bullying behaviour to make sure we are all happy to come to school every day.

Please, keep an eye on your child’s ClassStory to see what activities pupils have completed today. We will hopefully tweet and add more pictures on here when we get the chance.

This morning:

Keystage 2 pupils all joined together to sing ‘Hopeful’ by Bars and Melody to discuss the importance of staying hopeful that we can beat bullying together.

Pray for Paris

Pray for Paris

Many of the children came into school today upset about the recent events in Paris on Friday night. Therefore, as a school, we felt it was important that we honoured the two minute silence at 11am as a mark of respect.

Key stage 2 pupils watched a recent Newsround video about the event and discussed how the video made them feel. As a group, we then agreed to say a prayer tonight for all those who lost their lives in the event, and for all those who are missing their loved ones. We hope that they feel God’s love today and always.

We then sang ‘Shine, Jesus, Shine’ to remember that regardless of how dark the world may seem, God’s light is always shining for us to follow.

Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.

Welcome

Welcome to St Mary’s R.C. Primary School First Blog!

blog

So, in St Mary’s we are always keen to share all the wonderful and exciting things we get up to in school with you. Therefore, over the next year we will try to do this in new and exciting ways.

But first of all we are going to try and start this school blog. Hopefully we will be able to share the latest news and, hopefully, give you an insight into what is happening in school.

Please be patient as we are only just beginning with this.

If you can think of anything you would like included on this blog, please, let your child’s teacher or Miss Wilcox know.

Thank you very much for your patience.

Diolch yn fawr iawn!
