Pray for Paris

Many of the children came into school today upset about the recent events in Paris on Friday night. Therefore, as a school, we felt it was important that we honoured the two minute silence at 11am as a mark of respect.

Key stage 2 pupils watched a recent Newsround video about the event and discussed how the video made them feel. As a group, we then agreed to say a prayer tonight for all those who lost their lives in the event, and for all those who are missing their loved ones. We hope that they feel God’s love today and always.

We then sang ‘Shine, Jesus, Shine’ to remember that regardless of how dark the world may seem, God’s light is always shining for us to follow.

Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
